NATO has expressed concern regarding the incident that occurred near Khankandi, said Javier Colomina, Assistant to the NATO Secretary General for the South Caucasus and Central Asia region, APA reports.
“We are very concerned by d about the news regarding the fatal incident near Khankendi. This incident shows the importance of the solution to the unsolved issues at the negotiation table. NATO supports the normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia,” he noted.
Note that in the early hours of March 5, the separatist Armenian forces in Karabakh under the temporary control of the Russian peacekeeping contingent committed another provocation. Operational information was received on the transportation of military equipment, ammunition, and personnel from Armenia to the territory of Azerbaijan along the Khankendi-Khalfali-Turshu dirt road. As a result of the provocation committed by illegal Armenian formations during the morning of March 5, servicemen of the Azerbaijan Army Alibayli Shahriyar Ramiz and Huseynov Eshgin Jamil were martyred.
