The number of Azerbaijani citizens evacuated from Ukraine last year disclosed, according to the report on the activity of the Cabinet of Ministers in 2022, APA reports.

The document says that urgent measures were done regarding the evacuation of our citizen living in Ukraine, in connection with the war started in Ukraine in February 2022.

Since the start of the war, more than 20 charter flights were performed to evacuate the citizens. By the support of the government of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the evacuation of more than 16 thousand people (citizens and citizens of foreign countries who are their family members) was ensured.
