In connection with the earthquake that occurred in Kahramanmarash and surrounding provinces of Turkiye on February 6, 2023, Operational Headquarters were established in the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Republic of Turkiye, as well as in the Consulates General in the cities of Istanbul and Kars, Azerbaijani MFA told APA.
Azerbaijani embassy in Turkiye keeps operative contact with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkiye, the Agency for Emergency Management, other relevant bodies of Turkiye, as well as with the head of the delegation of Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Emergency Situations arriving in Turkiye, and the issue of whether there were Azerbaijani citizens affected by the earthquake is investigated.
