OTS Secretary-General makes appeal in connection with the anniversary of Khojaly genocide

"The bitter memory of Khojaly still remains in the hearts of our Azerbaijani brothers and sisters. As the Organization of Turkic States, we commemorate the victims of the Khojaly genocide with deep respect and continue to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the people and government of Azerbaijan," noted in the appeal of the Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States Kubanychbek Omuraliyev in connection with the 31st anniversary of the Kojaly genocide, APA's Istanbul bureau reports.

"Today marks the 31st anniversary of the genocide committed by Armenian armed forces against peaceful Azerbaijanis in the city of Khojaly, Azerbaijan, on the night of February 25-26, 1992. As a result of this violence, 613 people, including 106 women, 63 children, and 70 elderly people, were killed, and 1,275 people were taken hostage," noted in the appeal.
