Political consultations held between Azerbaijan and India-UPDATED

On November 28, 2022, 5th political consultations were held between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of India in New Delhi, APA reports.

The delegations were led by Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov by the Azerbaijani side, and India's Ministry of External Affairs Western Secretary (Deputy External Affairs Minister) Sanjay Verma.

During the consultations, the current situation of bilateral and multilateral relations between two countries, the work of the intergovernmental commission, prospects of cooperation within the fields of economics, political, trade, culture, education, etc., including the Non-Aligned Movement were discussed.

Political consultations were held between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan and India, APA reports citing the press service of India's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Indian delegation was led by the Secretary for West of the Ministry of External Affairs of India Sanjay Verma and the Azerbaijani delegation was led by deputy minister of Foreign Affairs Elnur Mammadov.

Noted that on November 28, the fifth round of the political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan and India took place in New Delhi.

Discussions covered India-Azerbaijan bilateral relations, as well as political, trade-economic, consular, cultural, and educational issues.

Opinions were also exchanged on regional issues and cooperation within the framework of the UN and other multilateral institutions.
