"We are also opening a Consulate General in Shusha," said Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in an interview with journalists while returning from his visit to Azerbaijan, APA reports.

He noted that the transport infrastructure in these areas is about to be completed.

"I think that after a year, visits to Shusha will become much easier. Ilham Aliyev said that large funds had been allocated for the next year. The representatives of our Turkish companies also say that if the plans are realized, the work here will be completed in 1-1.5 years. Of course, besides railways, there are also highways. They are determined to complete them. As soon as these works are finished, the road to Shusha will be opened. These places will come alive with both local and foreign tourists," Erdogan stated.
