Presidential Aide: "Azerbaijan implements very unique and unprecedented reconstruction project within the framework of post-conflict realities"

"Today, Shusha is becoming one of diplomatic centers, capitals of not only Azerbaijan, but also the South Caucasus.

Main essence of the conference is informing representatives of diplomatic corps on reconstruction and renovation projects implemented by Azerbaijan," said Assistant of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Head of Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmet Hajiyev about the international conference in Shusha, APA reports.

According to him, representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in our country - ambassadors, embassy employees, military attachés, as well as representatives of international organizations accredited in Azerbaijan, as well as representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Azerbaijan as non-residents, are participating in this visit: "Ambassadors, diplomatic representatives from especially Ankara, Tehran, and Moscow cities are included here. About 180 representatives of the diplomatic corps are participating in this event."

Hikmet Hajiyev said that representatives of the diplomatic corps are very interested in receiving information about the work done by the Azerbaijani government in the territories liberated from occupation: "Therefore, at this conference, one of our main goals was to inform the representatives of the diplomatic corps about the strengthening of peace in the region by Azerbaijan and the peace agenda implemented by our country."

On the basis of Mr. President's interview with the Azerbaijani media in Basgal, extensive information about the details of the regional peace agenda of our country was delivered, important points and theses were touched upon. In this regard, the diplomatic corps was informed based on the special tasks and theses set by Mr. President. Republic of Azerbaijan is a supporter of comprehensive peace in the region. In this regard, it is ready to start negotiations on a peace treaty with Armenia as soon as possible, and the proposals put forward by Azerbaijan directly testify to this.

The project is implemented especially thanks to the resources of our country within its management mechanism, which is a unique post-conflict project on a global scale.
