Representative of State Department: United States respects the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan

Chairman of the Milli Majlis Committee for International Relations and Interparliamentary Ties, Samad Seyidov, met with the representative of the US State Department Cameron Millard

On November 18, the Chairman of the Milli Majlis Committee for International Relations and Interparliamentary Ties, Samad Seyidov, met with the representative of the US State Department Cameron Millard, APA reports citing the Press and Public Relations Department of the Milli Majlis.

Samad Seyidov spoke about the relations between Azerbaijan and the United States and pointed out that our country is a supporter of peace and security in the region.

The Committee Chairman said the efforts are currently directed at signing a peace agreement with Armenia. Samad Seyidov noted that ordinary Armenian people also want peace, while some forces are preventing it. He spoke about the importance of joint efforts of the parties in this process.

US State Department representative Cameron Millard said that his country respects the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan. He emphasized the importance of further developing relations between the two countries. It was stated that after the victory achieved in the Patriotic War, Azerbaijan has created a new reality in the region and is taking new initiatives.
