Russia supports the unhindered delivery of humanitarian cargo to the region through the Aghdam-Khankandi route, said official spokeswoman of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova as she gave a briefing today, APA's Moscow correspondent reports.
According to her, the issue was discussed in detail during the Special Representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation for the normalization of Azerbaijan-Armenia relations Igor Khovaev's visit to Yerevan: "These days he is in Baku. He is scheduled to hold relevant consultations with our Azerbaijani partners. We act on the basis of the complex tripartite agreements of the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia. We are in favor of the unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid to the region via both the Lachin and Aghdam routes, and we call on the issue not to be unnecessarily politicized."
