"We are very glad that the inaugural meeting of the Commission on the delimitation of the Azerbaijani-Armenian border has taken place," said Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said this at a joint press conference with his Armenian counterpart Ararat Mirzoyan in Yerevan., APA's Moscow correspondent reports.
Lavrov recalled that the next meeting is planned to be held in Moscow. "We are ready to provide consulting assistance, including the provision of cartographic materials according to the agreements reached by the leaders of the three countries, which is very important for this particular job. At the same time, the Tripartite Working Group on the opening of transport communications and economic ties in the South Caucasus, headed by Deputy Prime Ministers, has made significant progress. Today we discussed options for resolving other remaining issues. I am confident that these issues will be resolved in the end. Therefore, I am convinced that there is no other way but completely normalize of the Azerbaijani-Armenian relations. The peace agreement is based on the proposals submitted by the Azerbaijani side. In response, the Armenian side put forward its views. Considering these two documents, the process is underway, and we are ready to participate as a mediator, consultant, and, in principle, a helping party."
