“Russia continues work on the complete opening of Lachin road, Russia's Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said at a weekly briefing, APA's Moscow bureau reports.
According to her, consecutive steps are being taken for the de-escalation through the Russian ministry of internal affairs, the ministry of defence and the command of the peacekeeping contingent in Karabakh: “It is important to find a solution that is acceptable to all parties. Currently, a humanitarian aid convoy is passing through Lachin road. We would like to reiterate that public attacks and provocations against our peacekeepers are unacceptable. Our peacekeepers are guarantors of peace in the region,” noted the spokesperson of Russian MFA.
