Russian MFA issued a statement on the tension on the Azerbaijan-Armenia border

The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement regarding the tension on the border between Azerbaijan and Armenia, APA's Moscow correspondent reports with reference to the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

"We express extreme concern, we call on the parties to refrain from further escalation and strictly observe the ceasefire, we are in close contact with Baku and Yerevan.

We hope that the agreement reached as a result of Russian mediation on a ceasefire from 9.00 Moscow time will be implemented in full.

All disputable problems should be resolved exclusively through political and diplomatic means, and on border issues - within the framework of the work of the bilateral commission on the delimitation of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border with the advisory assistance of Russia," said the statement.
