"Azerbaijan is an important partner for the European Union (EU)," Speaker of Estonian Parliament Jüri Ratas noted on Facebook in his post about the results of his three-day visit to Azerbaijan, APA reports.
"Maintenance of mutual relations between Azerbaijan and Estonia is very significant. I held important meetings with the President, Speaker of Parliament, Prime Minister, and other Ministers on the sidelines of my visit to Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan is also an important partner for the European Union, taking into consideration the deficit regarding oil and natural gas, Azerbaijan is a country that suggests cooperation with the EU in this field before the arrival of the heating season.
Besides, support for Ukraine and its territorial integrity was expressed at all meetings. I am grateful to our friends in Azerbaijan for the reception and sure that our relations will further strengthen," added Speaker.
