Superior Court of California has recently sentenced Hovhannes Sukiasyan for the hate motivated crime of assault on Azerbaijanis during their peaceful protest in front of Consulate General of Azerbaijan in Los Angeles in July, 2020, said Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Aykhan Hajizada, APA reports.
Aykhan Hajizada welcomed the court's decision.
"Sukiasyan was held criminally liable and is also ordered to reimburse all expenses of the victim of his assault. Lessons learned, we hope!" he added.
