Syrian official: "Extremist groups razed country to ground, there is scarcity"

"Extremist groups supported by the big states, big forces have razed Syria to the ground and committed crimes against the humanity," said the chairman of the Service Committee of the People's Assembly of Syria Faisal Azzouzi at the Baku conference of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network, APA reports.

He noted that his country faces serious problems: "We want the members of the Non-Aligned Movement to support the territorial integrity of Syria. Syria faces serious problems. There is a food shortage in our country, there is a lack of medical supplies, we want support from the friendly countries regarding all these problems".
