Third General Conference of PAECO rises mine issue

"The main obstacle to restoration works in Azerbaijan's liberated territories is mine problem," said chair of Azerbaijan's Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarvoa at the Third General Conference of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) held in Baku, APA reports.

The chair noted that although Azerbaijan is a country most contaminated with mines, but is a country receiving the least international financial assistance: "Although Armenia announced that it accepts 5 base principles put forward by Azerbaijan, it is not observed that Armenia takes any steps. Azerbaijan is ready to start the peace negotiations. Armenia should understand that it must fulfill its obligations".

Sahiba Gafarova noted that Armenia will become a participant in the international projects in the post-conflict period.
