"You know that the terrorist act was condemned by various international organizations of the world. UN, NATO, EU, OTS, OIC, and other international organizations," said Khalaf Khalafov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs in an interview with journalists, APA reports.

Khalaf Khalafov said that at the same time, heads of state, heads of foreign affairs, and ambassadors of more than 60 countries condemned this armed attack, and this terrorist act, and demanded that the Iranian state transparently investigate the crime within the framework of its obligations:

"We can say that January 27 was a grief day in the history of Azerbaijan-Iran diplomatic relations. Unfortunately, we got a martyr from the neighboring state. The Azerbaijani embassy received a martyr for the first time. Of course, Long live Motherland! Today, against the background of these events, I can say that both the martyred employee Orkhan Asgarov and other employees heroically prevented the incident that would have caused more serious consequences. Each wounded person underwent 4-5 hours of surgery. You know that after receiving first aid, they were sent to clinics in Iran and underwent 4-5-6 hours of surgery."
