Israel has supported the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan during the 30 years that the Azerbaijani lands were under the occupation of Armenia. We thank Israel for this," said Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov during the joint press conference after the meeting with his Israeli counterpart Eli Cohen, APA reports.
The Minister stressed that Israel had also supported Azerbaijan's position during the 44-day Patriotic War.
"We are grateful to Israel for supporting the position of Azerbaijan. Azerbaijanis of Jewish origin were also among those who heroically died for the defense of Azerbaijan in the war," Jeyhun Bayramov highlighted.
