Turkish ambassador: "Zangazur corridor to give great benefits to region"

"Today, geopolitical realities changed," said the Turkish ambassador in Azerbaijan Cahid Bagci while delivering a speech before the participants of the Diplomacy Week "On Turkiye-Azerbaijan Alliance Relations After the Shusha Declaration, New Regional Realities and Turkiye's Role in Reconstruction and Development of Karabakh," APA reports.

The ambassador showed Russia's attack on Ukraine as the reason for the change in geopolitical realities.

The Turkish diplomat also touched upon the membership process of Sweden and Finland in NATO.

Cahid Bagci mentioned the importance of food security, as well as energy security in this context. The diplomat added that prices of natural gas is being increased against the background of the war.

The diplomat has also mentioned the importance of the Zangazur corridor: "Start of operation of the Zangazur corridor will bring great benefits to the region".
