Today's conference is not only timely but also a very useful one, said the 75th President of the UN General Assembly Volkan Bozkir after the event on "Reconstruction, Reconciliation and Integration: Energy, Economy, Environment and Equity" held under the organization of Nizami Ganjavi International Center (NGIC) in Shusha, APA reports.
Noting that the conference attendees are former heads of state, Prime Ministers, Foreign Ministers, and such kinds of people of state and government level, he stressed that Azerbaijani officials provided extremely important information to the participants.
Volkan Bozkir shared his views on ongoing reconstruction works in Shusha and Karabakh.
The diplomat also evaluated peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia: “Despite the 30 years of provocation, Azerbaijan wants peace more. If it is left only to Armenia, maybe peace will be easier and faster, but while the Armenian diaspora is living a comfortable life in the world, it is as if they do not accept the fact that the Armenians here live in a poor state. In other words, they have been brought up as enemies of Turks and Azerbaijan since their birth. However, in consequence, they must accept peace issue, it is a reality.”
