UN Resident Coordinator: "Azerbaijani people seriously damaged by war"

"We cooperate with government of Azerbaijan in priority fields and the cooperation covers fields of a competitive economy, establishment of strong institutions, investments in human capital, and clean environment," UN Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan Vladanka Andreeva said while her speech on a panel within the framework of National Urban Forum in Aghdam, APA reports.

She has reminded this year marks the 30th anniversary of relations between the UN and Azerbaijan.

Vladanka Andreeva has touched upon global consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic and said that Azerbaijan adopted a strong and durable strategy to fight against the pandemic and minimize its results, provided global support to countries in this fight.

Speaking about the consequences of the war in the region, the UN Coordinator has added that people of Azerbaijan were seriously damaged by the war, and experienced trauma.
