“USAID/Azerbaijan has allocated more than USD 9 mln. for supporting urgent and more long term efforts against the influences of COVID-19 pandemic,” USAID Mission Director Jaidev Singh told journalists, APA reports.
According to him, the project on fight against the pandemic in Azerbaijan is a clear sample of 30 years of a lasting partnership between the US and Azerbaijan.
“USAID/Azerbaijan has allocated more than USD 9 mln. for supporting urgent and more long-term efforts against the influences of COVID-19 pandemic and will continue to strengthen and expand health system in Azerbaijan until it covers every citizen in the country. In order to make the country's health system a model for the region we hope for deeper cooperation with Azerbaijani government,” said the USAID Mission director.
