"It is already more than a year, Russian peacekeepers have been helping to maintain stability in Nagorno-Karabak,” said Vladimir Putin Russian President at the meeting of Defence Ministry, APA’s Moscow correspondent reports.
According to V.Putin, the humanitarian situation has greatly improved thanks to the efforts of peacekeepers, areas of several regions have been cleared of mines, social infrastructure facilities have been restored, historical and cultural monuments have been preserved.
"I would like to thank the personnel carrying out peacekeeping missions for their professionalism, tolerance, and perseverance," said the Russian president.
