A panel entitled "The New Global Health Building Structure: Promoting, Ensuring, Protecting, Enhancing of Health and Acting on in this direction was held today within the framework of the X Global Baku Forum titled "The World of Today: Challenges and Hopes" organized by the Nizami Ganjavi International Center in Baku, APA reports.

The moderator of the panel was Rosen Plevneliev, Former President of the Republic of Bulgaria (2012-2017).

Director-General of the World Health Organization Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus talked about the steps that should be taken in the field of healthcare in his appeal via video message.

Deputy Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Najat Mokhtar said that all accomplishments depend on technology.

"The COVID-19 pandemic has set us back 10 years, we are late to reach the UN Development Goals. On the other hand, many countries in Africa do not have access to radiotherapy. If steps are not taken to build infrastructure, what can we do? By the way, a girl recently died of smallpox in Cambodia, which is a cause for concern. And COVID-19 is infected by animals, so we need to increase support to the veterinary field. Low-income countries should also have the appropriate infrastructure to detect such diseases in advance and prevent their spread. We cannot fulfill the tasks set before us without data and research".
