135.5 km of roads restored and 80 km of new roads laid in liberated territories

“The restoration works of roads by clearing existing roads from mines and ammunition and clearing of new roads are conducted in all liberated territories from occupation,” Deputy Commander of the Engineering Troops, Colonel Jeyhun Jafarov told journalists, APA reports.

He noted that the demining tasks have been successfully implemented by the groups allocated for the construction of communication lines in interaction with other government agencies: “Generally, 135,5 km road has been restored and 80 km new road has been built”.
Colonel Jeyhun Jafarov noted that 1453 anti-tank mines have been discovered and neutralized during the complete cleaning of areas from mines and unexploded ordnance: “Beside that, 5420 anti-personnel mines and 17500 ammunition of different calibers have been discovered and neutralized”.
