ANAMA: More than 117 km of roads on frontline were cleared of mines - PHOTO

On 22-24 January, 2021 ANAMA received 9 (nine) emergency calls from the ″102 ″ Service Call Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and 2 (two) calls from the State Border Services on artillery projectiles detected in Agdam, Agjabedy, Beylagan, Fizuli, Gubadli, Tovuz, Terter, Zengilan regions and Shusha city, ANAMA told APA.

As response action to the reported 11 emergency calls ANAMA in close cooperation with the specialists of the Ministry of Internal Affairs conducted 18 emergency and operational clearance field missions. As reported 282 pieces of unexploded ordnance, 1 piece of anti-personnel mine, 19 pieces of anti-tank mines, 2 bomblets, 200 pieces of 7.62 mm pieces of small arms ammunition, 1 meteorological radio direction detector for military purposes and 8 pieces of exploded shell remnants were found as a result of missions.

During the search operations 13 694 600 kv.m (1 369 ha) more than 117 km of roads were cleared of mines and unexploded ordnance, 282 buildings were inspected.

ANAMA’s demolition team neutralized 13 pieces of unexploded ordnance, 68 pieces of mines and 2 pieces of bomblets. Explosive Ordnance Risk Education Specialists conducted risk awareness sessions among 97 398 civilians.
