“Armenia’s terror and military war at a state level against Azerbaijani civilians, particularly against children and teenagers continue,” said Assistant to Azerbaijani President Hikmat Hajiyev, APA reports.

According to him, as reported by the Prosecutor General’s Office, today as a result of sheeling tartar region and villages with Smerch missiles, Orkhan Ismayilzadeh, born in 2004 has been killed: “Mayakov Artur Vasilyevich, a citizen of the Russian Federation, born in 2007, who was seriously injured as a result of SCUD rocket fire in Ganja settlements on October 17, despite the efforts of doctors he died at the hospital where he got inpatient treatment. Mayakov Artur Vasilyevich had come as a guest to his aunt.

He will be buried in accordance with Orthodox Christian traditions with the support of the Ganja City Executive Power and the Alexander Nevsky Church in Ganja. The Embassy of Russia in Azerbaijan has been informed in this regard through MFA.”

H. Hajiyev noted that currently the shelling of Azerbaijan’s cities located in the frontline with heavy artillery and other weapons is continued by Armenian armed forces: “Unlike Armenia Azerbaijan does not target civilians and civilian facilities. Azerbaijan takes into account the requirements imprinted in international humanitarian law, such as military necessity, legitimate military goals, and proportionality of response measures. As noted by foreign journalists in Khankendi, the Armenian side uses tactics belonging to terrorists by placing firing points inside and near civilian facilities.  We call on civilians living in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan to stay away from military facilities. As noted by the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, President Ilham Aliyev, Azerbaijan has nothing to do with the Armenian civilians. We are ready to provide all humanitarian aid and support to civilians and servicemen who want to cross to the Azerbaijani side.“
