Armenian armed forces continue to fire on Azerbaijani settlements, civilian objects, including individual and apartment buildings, and farms with heavy artillery, in gross violation of the norms and principles of international humanitarian law. As a result, civilian facilities are destroyed and fires occur, causing serious damage to civilians and state property, APA reports quoting the website of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES).
According to the MES, as a result of shells fired by Armenian armed forces on September 29, a fire broke out in a transformer belonging to Azerishig OJSC located in Shikharkh settlement of Tartar region.
However, due to the operative intervention of the relevant forces of the State Fire Protection Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the transformer itself was protected from fire, although the protective switch and input-output cable burned at 15 p.m. In addition, a fire broke out in a farm belonging to a citizen as a result of an enemy shell in Ahmadagali village of Aghdam region last night. Due to operative intervention, part of the facility and the adjacent house were protected from fire. The fire that broke out in a farm owned by a citizen in Baharli-1 settlement of Aghdam region was extinguished, and part of the facility was protected from fire.
Also, fires broke out in private houses and farms in Ahmadagali, Chamenli, Sarijali villages of Aghdam region, farms in Askipara village of Tartar region last night and at night. It was not possible to intervene in the fires due to the intensive fire by the enemy.
Although the house was destroyed as a result of shelling in Baharli-1 settlement of Aghdam region, no fire broke out.
It should be noted that the Ministry of Emergency Situations is working in an intensified mode to immediately eliminate the damage caused by enemy artillery fire to various objects, including civilian objects, individual and apartment houses, farms, infrastructure facilities, fires caused by strikes.
