The Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan has commented on the information disseminated by Armenia on the alleged siege of the positions of the Armenian armed forces in the village of Khnatsakh of Gorus region by the Azerbaijani Army on the border with the Lachin region of Azerbaijan, and the fact that the Armenians may lose their posts at any time, the press service of the Ministry told APA.

This information is unfounded: “This is exaggerated and distorted news. We state that the units of our Army are located In the positions in the border zone of the Lachin region of Azerbaijan with the Gorus region of Armenia and carry out their daily service activities in the sovereign territories of our country, and this does not pose any threat.

We advise the Armenian media disseminating such information not to make unfounded panic, not to confuse the Armenian public and to get used to the mode of service activity of the Azerbaijani military servicemen in the civil form at the state border of the two countries along those regions after the liberation of Zangilan, Gubadli, Lachin, and Kalbajar regions of Azerbaijan”.
