7 newspapers to raise prices

Editors-in-chief of 7 newspapers published in Azerbaijan signed a memorandum on raising the prices by 30 kopecks, Director of Azadliq newspaper Azer Ahmadov told the APA. They apologized to the readers for being obliged to raise the prices for their newspapers. Ahmadov said that despite the rise of prices for energy deliveries, the editors hesitated in raising the price.
“But the price for the paper material has been raised recently and costs $800-850 at present. The net income after printing and paper expenditures is 2 kopecks. It is impossible to keep the office,� he said.
Ahmadov said that the memorandum was signed by the editors-in-chief of “Azadliq�, “Yeni Musavat�, “Gundelik Azerbaijan�, “BIzim Yol�, “Express�, “Sherg�, “24 saat� newspapers and the prices for the newspapers will raise from February 1. /APA/
