Azerbaijan detains Indian citizen attempting to illegally cross state border

On December 9 at 01:45, as a result of measures implemented jointly with the State Migration Service, Indian citizen Ponnaganti Ayyappa Reddy (1998) was detained while attempting to cross the state border from Azerbaijan in the direction of Georgia in the service area of the border outpost located near Pochtbina village of the Balakan district of the "Zagatala" border detachment of the State Border Service (SBS), Press Center of the SBS told APA.

The investigation determined that the detained person arrived in Azerbaijan officially and then violated the state's border with the intention of migrating to Georgia and later any of the European countries.

Operational-investigative measures are being continued on the fact.
