As a result of the conducted operations, more than 5 persons were detained who illegally brought drugs from Iran to Azerbaijan, Ministry of Internal Affairs released information, APA reports.
According to the information, a total weight of 50 kilograms including 33 kilograms of heroin, 12 kilograms of marijuana enriched with psychotropic substances, 5 kilograms of methamphetamine, bank cards used in contactless circulation of drugs and 210 psychotropic pills were found and seized.
According to the relevant articles of the Criminal Code, criminal proceedings have been initiated regarding the facts, pretrial detention measures have been chosen for the detainees, and operational measures are being continued.
