Azerbaijan's complaints to ECHR on Armenia's crimes against civilians under consideration

Complaints submitted by Azerbaijan to the European Court of Human Rights against Armenia in connection with the crimes committed against the civilian population of Azerbaijan during the Second Karabakh War are under consideration, " Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Court Chingiz Asgarov said, APA reports.

He noted that the Azerbaijani side filed complaints with the European Court of Human Rights regarding the crimes committed by Armenians during the First Karabakh War, the April War, and the Patriotic War. “Since 2005, Azerbaijan has regularly prepared and submitted such complaints to the court. These appeals also include complaints about the displacement of the Azerbaijani citizens from their native lands and damage to their property. These are all measures taken by the Azerbaijani state."

The Deputy Chairman said that complaints regarding the crimes committed against civilians during the Patriotic War are in the first stage of the European Court of Human Rights: "Azerbaijan's position will be submitted to the European Court of Human Rights next month."
