On November 21 at 05:50, 9 (nine) citizens of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan were detained while attempting to cross the state border from the Republic of Azerbaijan in the direction of the Russian Federation in the service area of the border outpost located near Samurchay village of Khachmaz district of the "Khudat" border detachment of the State Border Service (SBS), APA reports citing the SBS.
The investigation determined that the detained persons intended to arrive in the country officially, then migrate from the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Russian Federation and from there to one of the European countries by violating the state border.
Operational-investigative measures are being continued in the direction of detecting and neutralizing the channel of illegal migration on the fact.
