Chairman of Nakhchivan Urban Planning and Architecture Committee arrested over 212 mln embezzlement-EXCLUSIVE

Sabail district court of Baku city considered the prosecutor's petition in an ongoing criminal case in the State Security Service in respect of the chairman of the Urban Planning and Architecture Committee of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Rustamov Hijran Yagub oglu, APA reports.

By the decision of the judge dated 13.12.2022, Hijran Rustamov was placed under preventive detention.

In the ongoing criminal case, Hijran Rustamov is accused of abusing his official powers and embezzling 212 million 361 thousand manats of state funds intended for the implementation of construction and improvement works in the territory of the Autonomous Republic.
