Company car fell on landmine in Azerbaijan

A landmine explosion occurred in Mekhtili village of Jabrayil region, the press service of Azerbaijan's Ministry of Internal Affairs told APA.

Ilgar Ahmadov, born in 1927 stepped on an anti-personnel mine. The driver, who was carrying out transport and supply work related to the construction works, was taken out of the dangerous area by police officers, evacuated, and brought to the hospital.

On November 2, an anti-personnel mine exploded in the unmined area in the village of Mekhtili, Jabrayil region, APA reports citing the Press Service of the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA).

As a result of a mine explosion, the driver of "Improtex Industries" company, Ahmadov Ilgar Heybat oglu, born in 1972, was injured and three fingers of his left hand were amputated.
