On May 1, the prosecutor's office of the Jabrayil district received information about the occurrence of a mine explosion in the area of Cojugmarjanli village of Jabrayil district, The prosecutor's office of the Jabrayil district told APA.
During the preliminary investigation, it was determined that Oktay Alishov, born in 1964, died as a result of the explosion of an anti-tank mine in the mentioned area.
In connection with this fact, a criminal case has been launched in the prosecutor's office of the Jabrayil district under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code and a preliminary investigation is being conducted.
It is also noted that since the cessation of combat operations in accordance with the agreement of November 10, 2020, until today, as a result of explosions of mines planted by the Armenian armed forces, 55 of 299 mine victims, including military servicemen and civilians, died and 244 of them got several body injuries.
