Republican Seismic Survey Center of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences has released the next statement about the earthquake occurred in Zagatala, the Center told APA.

According to the preliminary information, the earthquake was recorded today at 11:35 local time in Zagatala, 18 km south-west of Zagatala station. The earthquake was 6 magnitude in the epicentre, felt up to 5-3 magnitude in the surrounding regions. The depth was 3 km.

Earthquake hits Azerbaijan’s Gakh, Balakan and Zagatala regions, APA reports.

The tremors were felt. Republican Seismic Survey Center of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences has confirmed the information.

The Center has also released official information related to the earthquake. The earthquake was recorded today at 11:35 in Zagatala, 17 km south-west of Zagatala station, the Center told APA.

The magnitude of the earthquake was 4.9, the depth was 2 km.

The tremors were felt.
