Employee of Ministry was killed, bank employee was injured during armed attack on hypermarket in Azerbaijan

The General Prosecutor's Office and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan have released joint information about the armed incident in hypermarket today.

APA presents the information:

As reported, an armed incident took place in one of the hypermarkets located on the territory of the capital on March 4 at around 12 o'clock.

During the incident, an employee of Unibank Commercial Bank OJSC received various injuries as a result of the gunshot, and Rufat Hashimov, an employee of the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of Azerbaijan, who was guarding him, died.

The prosecutor's office and police officers inspected the scene and the body with the participation of criminologists and experts, took other necessary actions, and took evidence important to the case.

A criminal case has been initiated in the Investigative Department of the General Prosecutor's Office under Articles 29, 120.2.7, 120.2.1, 120.2.4, 120.2.11, 181.3.2 and 228.2.1 of the Criminal Code.
