Forest fires have been underway for several days in the Marmaris region of Turkiye's Mugla province, APA's local bureau reports.
According to the Turkish Minister of Forestry and Agriculture Vahit Kirishci, measures are taken to extinguish the fires.
A large number of helicopters, aircraft, fire engines, water tankers, as well as employees of the forest protection service, and equipment belonging to various organizations were involved in extinguishing the fire.
It was noted that three helicopters from Qatar and an amphibious aircraft from Azerbaijan have already joined the firefighting measures.
