"Yesterday, employees of the International Committee of the Red Cross visited two Armenian citizens who were detained recently," Ilaha Huseynova, head of the Public Relations Department of the ICRC Baku Office told APA.
She said that one-on-one meetings were held with them and they were given the opportunity to contact their families through a Red Cross Letter.
In accordance with its mandate, the ICRC assesses the treatment and conditions of detention of detainees during visits and facilitates the restoration or continuation of contact with their families. In accordance with ICRC procedures, observations and recommendations regarding visits are shared only with the party who detains.
