A few months ago, Colonel Habib Babayi, one of the leaders of the Jerusalem branch of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said that they were planning terrorist attacks on drivers from Nakhchivan, as well as the Azerbaijani embassy in Tehran.

Habib Babayi announced these attacks in an interview with the separatist Zabil Maharramov on Internet TV broadcasting from Armenia, that its activities are based on ethnic conflicts and provocations in Azerbaijan.

Such facts once again show that the treacherous terrorist attack on the Azerbaijani embassy on January 27 was prepared before with a special plan, and emphasizing by the Iranian officials that the incident took place on a family-household basis, and trying to change the motive of the incident are baseless.

Note that an armed attack took place at the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Iran on January 27, 2023, at about 8:30 by Baku time. As a result of this vile attack, Orkhan Askerov, the head of the security service of the diplomatic mission, was killed while performing his official duties, and two employees of the Embassy were injured.
