Prosecutor General: "Amnesty act applied to 10,943 last year"

"Amnesty Act is applied to 10,943 people over the last year," said Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev at the broad board meeting on finals of the previous year, APA reports.

K. Aliyev noted that implementation of Decision "On announcement of Amnesty Act on the occasion of November 8 - Victory Day" adopted by Azerbaijani Parliament at the initiative of President Ilham Aliyev on the occasion of the first anniversary of the historical Victory, gained in the Patriotic War, is emergently and appropriately continued by bodies of Prosecutor's Office bodies. Amnesty Act has been applied to in total 10,943 people during the reporting period.
