1,649 traffic accidents have occurred in Azerbaijan over the last year and as a result of these incidents, 706 people have been killed, 1,452 injured, Baku State Traffic Police Office told APA.
The number of incidents has increased by 62 (+3.9%) in comparison by 2020, when restrictive measures were applied in the country due to pandemic, while the number of deaths by 10 (+1.4%), injured by 42 (+3%).
514 of the incidents have been recorded in the territory of capital, as a result, 211 people were killed, 413 were injured.
