Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. Lenkeran Airport will soon open, said Maharram Safarli, press secretary of Azerbaijan State Airline (AzAL), the flag carrier of the country.
He added that Baku-Lenkeran flights will be operated after the airport is ready.
“If this airport is granted the status of international, there will be cargo and passenger flights abroad,†he noted.
The government allocated $51.1 million for the construction of Lenkeran Airport.
