Azerbaijan works out national standards for information security

Baku. Ilhama Isabalayeva – APA-Economics. National standards are being worked out in Azerbaijan in line with the international standards for information security. Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies told APA-Economics that the representatives of relevant also participate in this process. National standards are being worked out as Azerbaijan joined Council of Europe’s Convention on Cybercrime. Azerbaijan joined the convention on June 30 this year.
On November 23, 2001, in Budapest, Hungary, the United States and 29 other countries signed the Council of Europe Cybercrime Convention, the first multilateral instrument drafted to address the problems posed by the spread of criminal activity on computer networks.
