15,000th container transported via the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway line

The 15,000th container was transported via the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars (BTK) railway line, ADY Container told APA-Economics.

The 15,000th container was part of a Turkmenistan-Turkey train. The 40-foot container was delivered from the port of Turkmenbashi to the port of Baku via the Silver Star feeder operated by ADY Container - a subsidiary of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC, then transported to Georgia's Akhalkalaki station and from there to Turkey.

Polypropylene was transported to Turkey in the 15,000th container. The transportation was carried out by ADY Container.

Launched on October 30, 2017, the volume of cargo transportation by BTK is constantly growing. So far, a total of 21,260 TEU containers have been transported by this railway. Since the beginning of this year, this figure was 10,779 TEU.
