"Due to the coronavirus pandemic, most airlines canceled flights to foreign countries before the end of quarantine. For this reason, citizens who have bought tickets in advance sometimes have discontent. They make claims to travel companies," Goydeniz Gahramanov, Chairman of the Expert Council of the Association of Travel Agencies of Azerbaijan, told APA.
According to him, because of the pandemic, customers want an immediate refund for a ticket purchased: "For this reason, travel companies face difficulties. Currently, due to a lack of sales, companies are having difficulty refunding customers online."
G. Gahramanov noted that airlines offer customers several options, including ticket exchange without penalty during the year. Another proposal is the possibility of using an air voucher for the same amount for a trip throughout the year.
