The construction of the part of new Alat-Astara-state border with Islamic Republic of Iran highway extending to state border with Iran has been started, the Satet Agency of Azerbaijan Automobile Roads told APA.
The purpose is to ensure comfortable movement of the vehicles driven to the neighbor country and in the opposite direction. Thanks to commissioning of the new road, the density of vehicles in the center of Astara city will also be lifted. Thus, the trucks will be able to proceed on their journey without entering the center of the city.
