“Demand for the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway line increased in foreign trade,” Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said, APA’s Turkish bureau reports.
According to the Turkish President, a container system with a capacity of 3 500 tons has been connected to the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway line.
Turkish President noted that also noted that cargo transportation has already been carried out from Beijing to London continuously.
Note that in the first six months of 2020, the volume of cargo transported via BTK increased 3,7 times amounted to 140 thousand tonnes compared to the same period of 2019.
